The Reclaimed Woman™
Started With My Own Reclaiming.
A few years ago, I reached a point where I knew I couldn't keep living the life I had.
It wasn't one dramatic moment. It was the slow realisation that I'd stopped recognising myself — in my relationship, in my choices, in the version of my life I'd quietly settled for.
Leaving meant starting again with almost nothing. For a while, I didn't have a proper home — I stayed with friends, with family, camped when I needed to. I won't pretend that part was easy, or that I had it figured out. I didn't.
But somewhere in that uncertainty, without realising it at the time, I'd already taken the first step toward finding my way back to myself.
The Rebuilding Wasn't One Brave Decision.
It Was Hundreds of Small Ones.
I read again. I walked, a lot — it was free, and some days it was the only thing that felt like mine. I said yes to things that scared me, and no to things I'd have once said yes to automatically. Slowly, without really noticing it happening, confidence stopped being something I was waiting to feel — and became something that showed up after I'd already taken the step.
There was no single moment where everything clicked into place. There was just the next small thing — moving back into a flat of my own, taking a job I could actually build on, learning to trust my own judgement again after a long time of not.
Somewhere along the way, those small steps carried me further than I expected. I built a career I was proud of. I passed a maths qualification at 58 that I never thought I could. I started travelling on my own. None of it happened because I suddenly became braver. It happened because I kept choosing the next small thing, over and over.
What I Learned…..
You Don't Need Fixing! You Never Did!
Looking back, I can see what I actually needed wasn't someone telling me who to become, or what my life should look like.
I needed to learn to trust myself again. Space to make my own decisions, even the small ones — especially the small ones. And time. More time than I wanted it to take.
Nothing about me was broken. I'd just gone quiet, buried under years of putting everyone and everything else first. The version of me that knew what she wanted hadn't disappeared. She was still there, waiting to be listened to again.
Why I Do This Now
I know what it feels like to not know what comes next. To have no map, no clear plan, and no idea who you are outside of everyone else's expectations.
I also know what it feels like on the other side of that — not because the hard parts disappear, but because you learn to trust yourself through them.
That's what I want for other women. Not a version of my story repeated back to them, but the same permission I eventually gave myself: to stop waiting for the right moment, and start taking the next small, honest step.
A Little About My Background
Reading became one of the first ways I started making sense of what I was rebuilding. Along the way, I decided to formally qualify in Life Coaching, Counselling, and NLP, so I could properly understand the process I'd been living through instinctively — and that decision eventually led me to start helping other women do the same.
I've also spent years supporting people through change in other ways — running my own businesses, working in education, helping adults build new skills and careers later in life. My qualifications give me knowledge and tools. My own experience gives me understanding. I bring both to the work I do with women today.
If This Feels Like You
If any of this feels familiar, The Reclaimed Woman™ is coming this autumn.
Where I Am Today…
Still Walking, Not Finished. And Thats The Point.
I'm not writing this from some finished place, looking back at a woman I used to be. I'm still working things out. Still catching myself falling into old patterns sometimes. Still choosing, most days, to do the next small brave thing instead of the comfortable one.
I don't have all the answers. I don't think any of us do. What I have is a life that finally feels like mine, built one honest choice at a time — and a genuine belief that you can build a life that feels like yours, too.
I'm not here to tell you what your next chapter should look like. I'm here to help you hear yourself clearly enough to choose it.
